  OMG, where do I begin! We enjoyed our wine tour so much. Charles was our tour guide, we visited 4 local wineries and we were in awe with them all! Each winery had it’s own sweet charm! Charles was so accommodating and he shared so much information with us regarding the area and the wineries! There were 5 in our party and we had so much fun making our latest memory together! From having our gourmet lunch @ The Cottage while taking in views of the mountains, to listening to the best music on our van, too much fun! If you want to treat family or friends to a beautiful experience, contact VIP Southern Tours immediately!   I've stayed at various Blue Ridge Cabin Rentals over the last 5 years but ever since VaCasa took over management the fee's have become outrageous. It's easily $100 more than it used to be for absolutely NO REASON AT ALL. I was going to rent Serenity like I always do and surprised my wife since this is where I proposed to her, but all the fee's and BS aren't worth it. I'll find another cabin company to rent from so we can re-create the experience. Owners if you're seeing this, I'd reconsider this management company as its driving away business. 7 times I've rented this cabin for an easy weekend getaway.

  Rent at Your Own Risk If you're looking to rent a cabin, don't spend more than you can afford to throw away. This is kind of long but I think you should know this before you decide. We saved up and rented a luxury cabin. BRC called us as we were pulling in the parking lot to check in to tell us there was no power. There was a city wide power outage. So of course we asked what our options were. There were no options. We could either stay and wait for power or not. The representative there said repeatedly that she "could not authorize a refund" so despite the cabin not having any power, she made it seem like we were most likely going to pay for it anyway. We decided to try and wait for the power to come back since we would lose money either way. She didn't even offer us a flashlight, candles or anything. The power never came on. We couldn't even shower much less use the hot tub, televisions, sauna, waterfalls or any appliance in the kitchen - all of the amenities we paid for. So basically we spent nearly $500 to sit in a dark cabin in the woods. We were miserable and decided we couldn't do two nights of this so we decided to check out. They did end up giving us a portion of our money back after we requested that something be done but we still ended up paying $270 to use the bed, toilet and the pool table (while it was still light enough to see). I worried all night about not getting our money back and ruining our first year anniversary by booking this cabin. Needless to say we won't be back. I know that if something like this happened again, that BRC would not take care of the customer. So, rent at your own risk. Oh, just as a side note - there are rules and little fees for everything. Even though you pay a $40 cleaning fee, they charge you $5 if you don't take your own trash with you. Read the Rules & Regulations book and look for instructions (one was even stapled to the wall) or face paying additional fees.
